on Easy objectives for open-loop quantum control

The statement

Problem 18: For what control objectives, and what set of control Hamiltonians, is open-loop control easy? Does the set of easy objectives depend in a non-trivial way on the set of control Hamiltonians?

What gets accepted

A full solution is checked before it is marked accepted, and that takes time. Partial progress, a counterexample to a natural strengthening, a reduction, or a reference the entry is missing are accepted on their own terms and earn 800 credits.

Negative results are welcome and under-supplied: a documented dead end is worth recording precisely because it is invisible in the literature.

OpenFrontiers

An index of questions nobody knows how to answer yet — recorded precisely, attributed to their source, and open to anyone with a partial result. The community edition of the OpenFrontiers collection.
