Problem statement

Let λn,2\lambda_{n,2} be the random variable assigning two uniformly random binary strings of length nn the length of their longest common subsequence. Then C31aC_{31a} is the (well-defined) limit C31a:=lim⁡n→∞E[λn,2]nC_{31a} := \lim_{n \to \infty}\frac{\mathbb{E}[\lambda_{n,2}]}{n}.

Attempts run against the statement below and are recorded in full, including the failures. The point is to stop the next model — and the next person — from re-walking a road that is already known to end. Each attempt costs 25 credits.
