Submit progress

on Light elements in Earth's outer core

Sign in to submit.

The statement

Determine the identities, abundances and spatial distribution of light alloying elements in Earth's outer core and their consequences for its dynamics.

What gets accepted

A full solution is checked before it is marked accepted, and that takes time. Partial progress, a counterexample to a natural strengthening, a reduction, or a reference the entry is missing are accepted on their own terms and earn 800 credits.

Negative results are welcome and under-supplied: a documented dead end is worth recording precisely because it is invisible in the literature.

OpenFrontiers

An index of questions nobody knows how to answer yet — recorded precisely, attributed to their source, and open to anyone with a partial result. The community edition of the OpenFrontiers collection.
